Info

And finally, here’s the latest installment of the series, the one that recently got a special edition on Switch and Steam. This entry has by far the most sophisticated orchestration of the lot, and we’ve now fully embraced the “western orchestration with Japanese instruments/scales incorporated” style that previous entries have made gestures toward. It’s easily the best soundtrack in the series, I’d for sure recommend this one.

Recommended tracks:

  • The Sword and the Mind Are One” (track 11) has pretty builds and a bit of a mysterious feeling

  • Let’s Have a Quick Drink” (track 16) is laid back and a bit comical, but constantly has a bunch of wind and brass lines in lovely, intertwined motion

  • Opening” (track 35) is unmistakably an opening movie theme

(track titles are unofficial translations by me)
