I don’t understand how this is a rhythm game song.
Ground Snow – Liminality
Composed by ZUN (orig. “Higan Retour ~ Riverside View” from Touhou Kaeizuka)
Arranged by Ryo Takahashi (Maurits “ZEN” Cornelis)
Vocals by Vivienne
Lyrics by Renko
Every day I’m apparently including one piece that wasn’t actually written for inclusion in a video game; this time we have a random Touhou arrangement! Really cool proggy jazz fusion song by someone who’s now a pro songwriter and composer; obviously my favorite part is the explosion of random nonsense at 1:19.
Kuon no Kizuna: Sairinshou – Forbidden Zone
Composed by Shuichiro Ishii (Saga Kazami)
Just some simple bendy synth ambience.
Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization – Battle 2
Composed by Kengo Tokusashi
One of approximately five trillion game adaptations of this series. Several of these soundtracks are written by Kengo Tokusashi, a composer who I think can be really cool, though I haven’t listened to any of them yet (I have a different one in my music queue!). Some nice chords in this, and 1:31 is pretty wtf.
Yume 2kki – Loop “Deep Sea”
Composed by Otoshi Takeuchi
Real weird ambient(?) reggae(?) piece that kind of reminds me a little bit of Zan-zan-zawa-veia. This is a fanmade sequel to indie darling surrealist horror game Yume Nikki, and like the other fan game I posted two days ago (Storm Assault), this composer also doesn’t seem to exist beyond this game.
