Palworld finally left early access two months ago, and when version 1.0 released they updated the soundtrack with the music that’s been added to the game since the last time I posted about it. Tracks 29-47 are the new ones and they span several updates across 2025 and 2026, and since they added all the music at once without making it immediately clear which pieces are from which patch, I’m not really going to spend a lot of time trying to figure out what’s what.
Tracks 29 and 30 are obviously from the Terraria crossover update (version 0.6.0) and they both remix tracks from that game originally composed by Scott Lloyd Shelly; they stand out a bit from the rest of the new music here due to the chiptune lead in the first and more overt electronic styles in both. After that it turns into pretty much Even More Palworld Music: lots of orchestra and piano with some occasional light electronics mixed in for texture, with some of the more actiony tracks bringing in rock guitar and drumkit and maybe some louder EDM sounds. As previously there appear to be very little if any actual area themes; the bulk of the music here is very clearly battle music, with some extra themes for cutscenes and maybe like trailers and such. Compositionally it’s got a nicely proggy feel in the rhythms and song structures with some occasionally jazzy chord extensions thrown in for spice, which is of course fun.
Tonally the action themes here are a bit less unhinged than the previously-released ones; while there for sure are some chaotic tunes, there are some with calm, ambient moments mixed into them and some with more of that epic, RPG major boss feeling to them by having choir or triumphant anime melodies or whatever. It’s nice to hear a little extra variety in the battle music to round out the overall sound of the game, though the wacky, chaotic stuff is my main draw to Palworld music, so I found less to love here that I have in the earlier music.

“Misty Prelude -First Neigh-” was the epic track I liked the most, some of the chords are nice

“Sphere You Up” is a little quirky prog, feels like a minor enemy battle theme (also this was previously titled “Poke that Pal” but changed later, wonder if the lawyers were like “please don’t”)

“Cobalt Twilight” was the chillest overall tune, some nice sounds at the start

“Valse de solitude” switches between 2+2+2 and 3+3 subdivisions a lot it’s fun
