Info
Small, lowkey soundtrack to an Apple Arcade puzzle game that caught my eye because of Ito’s involvement. Chill jungle vibes to get run over by a giant boulder to, with lots of percussion (hand and pitched) and synths. Some tracks sound a bit like Pokémon Mystery Dungeon music, which makes sense given that Ito is a prominent compositional voice in that series.
This game will never have a soundtrack release, and I wouldn’t be surprised if a full rip never gets uploaded to YouTube. Luckily, the game’s sound effects aren’t super intrusive, so it’s possible to listen to a lot of the game’s music comfortably just by watching a gameplay video, for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aaVvkgQ2ZY
Recommended tracks:
-
“Logic Ruins 1” is an ambient funk groove
-
“Water Ruins Boss” has a really cool second half
-
090 (don’t know where this plays in game or if it’s supposed to loop this way) just keeps stacking one repeating triplet-based rhythm on top of another, minimalist style
(track titles are unofficial)
