Info
Maybe I’m just going to listen to every Trussonic album now. Maybe I’m just going to do that.
This is their first album, with Yuji Yajima on bass and alternating between Tappi Iwase and Shoji Hirakawa on drums. This one’s a little bit more, chill and restrained, I guess is the way to describe it? But just a little bit, and still very firmly in the realm of progressive jazz. It’s not bad, didn’t like it as much as album #4 but it’s still nice.
Recommended tracks:
-
“Bridge stop” is the most sinister and aggressive track on the album
-
“Cloudiness” loves its descending chromatic movement
