Game info: GameFAQs
Listening/music info: collection release (disc 4)
Info
The fourth game has a bit more of a western orchestral style to the music, naturally with koto, shamisen, and shakuhachi here and there because that’s obligatory. The orchestration is definitely a step up from the previous game, putting us solidly into “you know what, this isn’t too bad” territory. There are also a couple of rock tracks with real life guitar that come out of nowhere, so look forward to doing a spit take if you listen to this soundtrack!
Recommended tracks:
-
“Kyo-no-Miyako” (track 7) is an elegant piece with pretty chords
-
“Risking One’s Life” (track 15) is an action cue with a few interesting chord changes
(track titles are unofficial translations by me)
