Info
Checking out more music by Hajime Sugie, this one’s a creepy puzzle platformer that might also be extremely depressing. It’s a little bit similar to his soundtrack for htoL#NiQ in its synthy ambience for a castle frozen in time, though it’s less ambient overall and there’s a lot more emotional piano and strings instead of just pure synth textures, along with a touch of spooky haunted house-ness. I generally didn’t find this as interesting as htoL#NiQ, but there are some good tracks here if you like your music dark and somber.
Recommended tracks:
-
“memory of castle” is a hollow reflection of long-past stateliness
-
“the castle sings history” has a bit of an RPG ruins vibe to it
-
“someone is crying in truth” is the second-most dramatic piece in the game and has some cool piano and keyboard lines going
