Info
While he kept busy with other works in the interim, Zanshin didn’t release another album under that name until just this year (not counting the two prerelease singles from it). You can tell it’s another full album not just because of the length, but also because a bunch of the titles are alliterative again, like Rain Are In Clouds. Why is that a thing he does? Great question!
To my great pleasure, this album also musically follows Rain Are In Clouds more than anything else he’s released. I love it when weird, abstract soundscapes are mixed into my IDM.
Recommended tracks:
-
“Polar Polychrome” is hard to get a handle on the rhythm of during the intro
-
“Time After Thought” mixes improvised piano with a cool, constantly modulated synth
-
“Identity Slices” is sure sliced alright
-
“Enzyme Enigma” is a crunchy club track
