Info

We’re almost free, can you feel it? An end to the Pokémon-posting. Well, at least until the next time I relisten to another soundtrack. Or until Pokémon Legends: Z-A comes out. But until then, we’ve got the short DLC epilogue to get through! Just five new tracks here.

This takes place back in Kitakami, where The Teal Mask was set, so it reprises a theme associated with some characters from there, the Loyal Three. This DLC is about solving a mystery of people acting strangely, so instead of going back to the traditional Japanese theme of the first DLC, they got quirky and spooky with some lo-fi and alien invasion movie-sounding noises instead. It’s fun! They were clearly just having a goofy li’l time with this plotline and I can respect that.

Recommended tracks:

  • Mochi Mayhem!” (Ichinose, orig. Adachi) is one of the tracks arranging the Loyal Three theme, this is my favorite rendition of it across both DLCs with the Commodore 64-esque blips and missing beat at 0:15

  • A Drone? A Pokémon? It’s a Binding Mochi!” (Adachi) sounds like an uneasy theme from a visual novel where no one has any idea what’s going on

(track titles are unofficial translations from Bulbapedia)
